Quebec City marks 65 years of Thailand-Canada relations with Thai cultural and food festival

Quebec City will host the Thai Gastronomy Festival on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at Parc Durocher, as part of celebrations marking 65 years of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Canada. The public event is scheduled to run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Organized by the Royal Thai Embassy in Ottawa, the festival is designed to showcase Thailand's culture while strengthening cultural and people-to-people ties between the two countries through food, traditional arts and sporting demonstrations.
Visitors will be able to enjoy live cooking demonstrations and food tastings, as well as a Thai food market featuring prepared dishes and authentic ingredients, offering the public an opportunity to experience the diversity of Thai cuisine.
The programme will also feature traditional Thai dance and Muay Thai demonstrations, adding cultural and sporting elements to the culinary event and providing visitors with a broader introduction to Thai heritage.
The Quebec City event is part of Thailand's cultural outreach in Canada during a milestone year for bilateral relations, with the 65th anniversary providing a backdrop for activities aimed at bringing Thai culture closer to Canadian audiences.
