Organizers of the Red Sea International Film Festival have announced that the next edition will run from Dec. 3 to Dec. 12, 2026, with the event returning to its home in Jeddah’s historic Al-Balad district. The announcement places the festival once again among the region’s key year-end cultural and cinema events.
The festival is now seen as more than a red-carpet occasion. It has grown into a platform that supports creativity, gives emerging voices room to be seen, and helps bring Arab cinema closer to the international spotlight. Its continued connection to Al-Balad also gives the event a distinctive cultural and visual identity.
That role is reinforced by the Red Sea Souk, which serves as a professional industry platform linking filmmakers, producers, and partners from across the region and beyond. In that sense, the date announcement signals not only a new edition, but the festival’s continuing role in building Saudi Arabia’s growing film ecosystem.
