Toronto is preparing to open its FIFA World Cup 2026 celebrations with a major Countdown Concert on June 10 at Fort York and The Bentway, bringing together music, football and the city’s growing excitement ahead of one of the biggest sporting events in the world.

The 90-minute concert will be part of FIFA’s first multi-city global kickoff celebration, connecting Toronto with simultaneous live events in Mexico City and Los Angeles. FIFA says the Toronto lineup will feature Bryan Adams, Nora Fatehi with Sanjoy, Vegedream, and a special collaboration between AHI and Wyclef Jean.

The concert comes just two days before a historic moment for Canadian soccer, as Canada’s men’s national team plays Bosnia and Herzegovina on June 12 at Toronto Stadium, marking Canada’s first FIFA World Cup match on home soil.

Toronto’s celebrations will continue with the FIFA Fan Festival, running from June 11 to July 19 at Fort York and The Bentway. The festival is expected to include live match broadcasts, food experiences, local art, music and cultural programming that reflects Toronto’s diversity. General admission tickets are free and available online in advance, with premium experiences also offered for purchase.

The program places Toronto at the heart of Canada’s World Cup atmosphere, not only as a match host city, but as a gathering point for fans, families and communities preparing to celebrate football on a global stage.
