Ahmed Mekky Returns to a Leading Film Role as He Reunites With Maged El Kedwany

Ahmed Mekky began filming his new movie, Forsa Saeeda, on August 6, marking his return to a leading cinema role 13 years after his last starring film, Samir Abu El Nil, was released in 2013. Maged El Kedwany co-stars in the new project.
Production has moved forward after a period of preparations and casting. The film is produced by Tamer Morsi through Synergy Plus and directed by Ahmed El Gendy, who also shares writing credits with Mohamed Ezz and Sameh Gamal.
Several actors are set to appear as guest stars, including Mohamed Abdel Rahman, Yara El Sokary, Rahma Ahmed and Donia Sami, according to details released as filming began.
Forsa Saeeda also reunites Mekky and El Kedwany on the big screen. The two previously worked together in Teer Enta in 2009 and La Taragoa Wala Esteslam (El Qobda El Damia) in 2010.
Mekky's Samir Abu El Nil, released in 2013, was his last cinema project in a leading role before a lengthy break from starring in films, while he remained active in television.
With cameras now rolling, Forsa Saeeda moves Mekky's long-discussed cinema comeback from preparation into production while reviving his screen partnership with El Kedwany more than 15 years after their last film together.
