Barshama continued to lead Egypt’s Eid al-Fitr box office after posting about EGP 19.05 million in second-day holiday revenue, based on figures released by distributor Mahmoud El-Dafrawy and reported across Egyptian media outlets.
According to the same figures, the film played in 95 cinemas and sold around 147,500 tickets that day, lifting its total after 73 hours in release to roughly EGP 33.8 million and putting it clearly ahead of its nearest competitors. The result gives the film an early commercial edge in a season where broad comedies often dominate audience demand.
The film is built around a satirical comedy set inside a high school exam committee, using cheating, confusion, and exam-day pressure as the engine for its humor. It stars Hesham Maged, Reham Abdel Ghafour, Mostafa Gharib, and Bassem Samra, and is directed by Khaled Diab
