The evening was marked by notable Arab diplomatic attendance, including H.E. Sabah Al Rafie, Ambassador of Jordan to Canada; H.E. Lassaad Boutara, Ambassador of the Republic of Tunisia to Canada; H.E. Souriya Otmani, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to Canada; Senator Mohammad Al Zaibak; and H.E. Jamal Al-Sallal, Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to Canada and Dean of the Arab Group within the diplomatic corps in Canada.
H.E. Tariq Ali Faraj Al-Ansari, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Canada, also attended the event and described the evening as a beautiful reminder of how music and culture continue to connect people across communities and generations.
The gathering was made possible through the efforts of Senator Mohammad Al Zaibak, who helped bring together diplomatic, cultural, and community voices around an evening dedicated to Arab musical heritage.
Through its performance and atmosphere, the event celebrated the enduring power of Arab music and its ability to carry memory, identity, and emotion across borders. It also highlighted the role of culture as a bridge between communities in Canada’s diverse public life.
More than a concert, the evening stood as a shared cultural moment, one that reflected the strength of Arab artistic heritage and the growing presence of the Arab-Canadian community in the country’s cultural landscape.
