Speaking in a phone interview on Nogoum FM’s program "Asrar Al Nogoum", Sabreen said the project is still in the writing stage and that she hopes it will move forward into production soon. She added that the role would require intensive preparation, including matching lip movement to a strong Quran-recitation voice track.
Local media reports have linked the story to Karima Mohamed Al Adliya, a blind reciter who became widely known on Egyptian radio in the 1930s and 1940s. However, industry details remain fluid: writer Hisham Helal previously said the project had not been contracted for production at the time, indicating the series was still at an early development stage.

Some Egyptian outlets have also reported a possible Ramadan 2027 target, but no official broadcaster or production company has publicly confirmed a release window.
