Egyptian Actor Mohamed Marzaban Dies After Road Accident

Egyptian actor Mohamed Marzaban died on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, after suffering serious injuries in a road accident on the Cairo–Ismailia road, according to Egyptian media reports. Actor Mounir Makram, a board member of Egypt’s Actors Syndicate, announced the news on Facebook, writing: “May God grant him mercy… artist Mohamed Marzaban.”
Marzaban had been transferred to Abu Khalifa Emergency and Precision Surgery Hospital in Ismailia after the accident. Local reports said his condition remained critical in the days before his death.
According to Youm7, authorities began procedures to issue the burial permit and release the body to his family, while funeral and condolence details were expected to be announced later.
Marzaban built a long acting career across Egyptian cinema and television. ElCinema lists his career as beginning in the mid-1990s, with credits including “Kashf Al Mastour,” “El Belyatsho,” “Gowa El Le’ba,” “Ded El Tayar,” “Ayna Qalbi,” “Ghawy Hob,” and “Ism Moaqqat.”
Although he was not usually presented as a headline star, Marzaban remained a familiar face to Egyptian and Arab audiences through many supporting roles. His death has brought renewed attention to a quiet career built through consistency, presence and a wide range of television and film appearances.
