More than 50,000 people attended the inaugural “Emirates Loves Palestine” event on Saturday at Dubai Exhibition Centre in Expo City Dubai, bringing together members of the Palestinian community, Emiratis and residents of the UAE. Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, and Palestinian Ambassador to the UAE Abeer Al Ramahi attended the event.

The gathering was organised by the “Emirates Loves Palestine” platform in partnership with the UAE-Palestinian Friendship Club and the Palestinian Business Council in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, celebrating Palestinian culture and the community’s contributions to life in the UAE.

The programme featured Palestinian music, folk performances, heritage presentations and cultural activities, with singer Mohammed Assaf and comedian Imad Farajin among the participating artists.

Visitors also explored Palestinian traditional food, handicrafts, heritage displays and home-based community projects, creating a broad showcase of Palestinian cultural and social traditions.

Sheikh Nahyan highlighted the longstanding ties between Emiratis and Palestinians and the contributions of the Palestinian community to the UAE’s development, while reaffirming the country’s humanitarian support for the Palestinian people.

Ambassador Abeer Al Ramahi described the gathering as a message of solidarity and affection from the UAE to Palestine and its people, while highlighting the opportunities Palestinian residents have found to work and build successful lives in the country.

The event also honoured a number of Palestinian professionals and community figures for their achievements and contributions in the UAE.

At the same time, a parallel event titled “Palestine Loves the Emirates” was held in Gaza in cooperation with Operation Chivalrous Knight 3. A live broadcast connected participants in Gaza with the gathering at Dubai Exhibition Centre.
