Lebanese singer Fadel Shaker is preparing to begin a new chapter in his personal and professional life, amid reports that he plans to relocate to Doha as part of a gradual return to music and live performances following years of absence and controversy.

According to information reported by Sky News Arabia, Shaker has completed six new songs that are expected to be released gradually during the coming period. The move suggests that he intends to rebuild his artistic presence through fresh material rather than relying solely on his catalogue of older hits.

The same reports indicate that Doha could become his new destination in the coming days following his release from detention under a Lebanese Military Court decision involving financial bail. Legal proceedings and investigations connected to the cases before the judiciary reportedly remain ongoing.

Shaker was released on July 8, 2026, after total bail payments reportedly reached 500 million Lebanese pounds. His release does not mean that the judicial files have been closed, as reports have indicated that investigations are continuing and that the cases have not yet reached a final resolution.

On the artistic side, reports suggest that Shaker may perform in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in September. The concert would represent his first major public appearance following his reported move to Qatar, although the date and details have not yet been officially confirmed by the singer or an event organizer.

Some reports have also linked his expected move to Doha with the need to follow up on his health. Shaker has reportedly been dealing with diabetes and other medical concerns and could undergo specialized treatment while preparing to resume his musical activities.

The anticipated comeback follows several recent artistic achievements despite his long absence from live concerts. At the 2026 Joy Awards, Shaker was named Favourite Male Artist, while his song “Sahhak El Shouq” received the Favourite Song award. His son, Mohammad Fadel Shaker, also won the Favourite New Face award.

Fadel Shaker surrendered to Lebanese Army Intelligence in October 2025 after spending years inside the Ain al-Hilweh Palestinian refugee camp. His surrender opened a new stage of investigations and court proceedings related to earlier accusations, which he has repeatedly denied.

Between Doha, Riyadh and the recording studio, the coming period appears to represent an attempt by one of the Arab world’s most recognizable romantic voices to rebuild his career.

The success of the expected return, however, will depend not only on new songs and concerts, but also on the outcome of the continuing legal proceedings and Shaker’s ability to reconnect with an audience that has remained divided over his career and past positions.
