A Pablo Picasso artwork valued at around €1 million is being offered in a charity raffle in Paris through a €100 ticket, giving ordinary participants a rare chance to win a blue-chip artwork for a fraction of its market value.
The work is Tête de Femme, a 1941 gouache on paper, and the draw is scheduled for April 14 at Christie’s in Paris as part of the third edition of the “1 Picasso for 100 euros” initiative. The campaign supports Alzheimer’s research through Fondation Recherche Alzheimer.
What makes the event especially striking is that it takes a Picasso out of the closed world of elite transactions and places it within reach of a much broader public. The initiative also builds on two earlier editions held in 2013 and 2020.
