The Embassy of the State of Qatar in Ottawa has announced 10 complimentary entries for the Vancouver T100 Triathlon, offered by Visit Qatar as Canada joins the T100 Triathlon World Tour calendar on August 15 and 16, 2026.

The initiative comes as Visit Qatar continues its official sponsorship of the global T100 series and as Qatar strengthens its position as the host of the T100 Triathlon World Championship Final through a multi-year international partnership.

The Vancouver race gives participants the chance to compete in a world-class swim, bike and run event in one of Canada’s most scenic cities. The T100 distance covers 100 kilometres in total, including a 2 km swim, an 80 km bike course and an 18 km run.

According to T100 organizers, Vancouver is part of the route toward the Qatar World Championship Final, with the series recognized by World Triathlon as the official world championship tour for long-distance triathlon.

Applicants interested in the complimentary race entries can contact the embassy by email at:

The application deadline is July 7, 2026. The Vancouver event will take place on August 15 and 16, 2026, while Qatar is scheduled to host the T100 World Championship Final in Lusail from December 10 to 12, 2026.

The announcement highlights the growing role of sports diplomacy between Qatar and Canada, combining athletic participation, tourism promotion and international sporting excellence.
