Veteran Egyptian actor Abdel Rahman Abu Zahra has been moved to the intensive care unit at a Cairo hospital after a sudden health setback, according to his son, musician Ahmed Abu Zahra, who said his father has been hospitalized since the second day of Eid al Fitr and asked the public to pray for his recovery.
Later reports quoting his son said the actor remains in unstable condition and is still under close medical supervision in intensive care.
Local media reports said the health crisis is linked to breathing problems and low oxygen levels, although no detailed medical statement has been issued by the hospital so far.
