Ottawa is set to host a special Lebanese cultural evening titled “Binissbi La Ziad… Shou?” in tribute to Lebanese artist Ziad Rahbani, on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Hillcrest High School Theatre.
Presented by Stars of Lebanon and Sawt N Noujoum, the event will bring together live music and theatrical sketches inspired by Rahbani’s distinctive artistic world, known for its sharp humour, social reflection, and deep connection to Lebanese cultural memory.
The evening will feature SOL dancers, a live orchestra, and performances by Andre Ibrahim, Chadi Mahfouz, and Nidal. The program is expected to draw members of the Lebanese and Arab communities in Ottawa, as well as audiences who appreciate Rahbani’s unique blend of music, theatre, satire, and emotion.
The concert will take place at 7:30 p.m. at Hillcrest High School Theatre, located at 1900 Dauphin Road in Ottawa.
The tribute highlights the continuing presence of Ziad Rahbani’s work among Arab audiences, where his music and theatre remain closely tied to questions of identity, society, memory, and everyday life.
