The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) has released the full schedule for its 51st edition, which will take place in Toronto from September 10 to 20, 2026, allowing moviegoers to review screening times and plan their Festival experience ahead of ticket sales.

Festival tickets will go on sale to the general public on August 31 at 12 p.m., while TIFF Members will receive early access beginning August 21, depending on membership level, giving them priority access to some of the Festival's most anticipated screenings.

The Festival will open with Oscar-winning filmmaker Siân Heder's Being Heumann, while Yan Lanouette Turgeon's Villeneuve: The Rise of a Legend has been selected as the Closing Night Film. TIFF's Gala and Special Presentations programmes will feature films from nearly 30 countries, alongside a broad selection of Canadian and international cinema.

The 2026 edition will also mark the launch of TIFF: The Market, running from September 10 to 16 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. The new initiative expands TIFF's role as an international meeting place for the film, television and screen industries alongside the public Festival.

This year's Centrepiece programme includes 54 films from filmmakers representing 50 countries, while TIFF Docs features 21 titles from 20 countries and the Short Cuts programme includes 45 short films from 30 countries.
