Cineplex theatres across Canada are preparing to bring part of the FIFA World Cup 2026 experience to the big screen, after the company announced a partnership with TSN to screen select tournament matches live at participating locations.
According to Cineplex, tickets went on sale on May 15, with in-theatre tickets priced at $9.99. Online purchases may include a booking fee of up to $1.50, and all prices are subject to taxes.
The company said tickets will be released in stages, beginning with selected group-stage matches, with more games to be added closer to match day. Participating theatres may vary by date and match.
Cineplex’s sports events page currently lists screenings beginning June 11, including Canada matches, several international group-stage games, the semi-finals, the third-place match and the final.
The screenings come as Canada prepares to co-host the 2026 World Cup with the United States and Mexico. Canada will host 13 matches in Toronto and Vancouver, while the Canadian men’s national team opens its campaign against Bosnia and Herzegovina in Toronto on June 12.
For fans who cannot attend matches in stadiums, the Cineplex screenings offer a more affordable way to follow the tournament in a shared, big-screen atmosphere. Viewers should still check the exact theatre, match availability and final price before booking.
