Vancouver International Airport has opened the Lower Mainland’s first dedicated FIFA World Cup 2026 merchandise store, giving travellers an early glimpse of the tournament atmosphere as the city prepares to welcome fans this summer.
The new Hudson FIFA World Cup 2026 pop-up store opened on Friday, May 15, inside YVR’s domestic terminal, post-security, across from Gate 29. The store offers official FIFA merchandise, including shirts, hoodies, hats, tumblers, and commemorative pins, along with Vancouver-exclusive items sold only at the airport.
The opening comes just weeks before the 2026 FIFA World Cup begins across Canada, the United States, and Mexico. Vancouver is one of Canada’s two host cities, alongside Toronto, and is scheduled to host seven matches at BC Place during the tournament.
For Vancouver, the store is more than a retail launch. It is part of the city’s growing World Cup visibility, turning the airport into one of the first places where visitors, fans, and local travellers can feel the tournament’s presence.
The move also points to the wider economic and tourism buildup around the World Cup, as airports, hotels, local businesses, and transportation networks prepare for a major increase in visitors and fan activity.
