Egyptian star Mohamed Salah is closing in on his official Trabzonspor debut after being named in the squad to face Kasımpaşa on Saturday, August 15, in the opening round of the 2026-27 Turkish Süper Lig season. Trabzonspor officially confirmed Salah's inclusion in the match squad.
The match will be played at Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Stadium in Istanbul at 7 p.m. local time, according to the Turkish Football Federation.
Salah has not yet been confirmed as a starter, but Turkish reports indicate that he could be introduced during the match. His first official appearance for Trabzonspor is therefore increasingly likely, although it will only be confirmed once he takes the field.
The 34-year-old joined Trabzonspor on a free transfer after leaving Liverpool and signed a two-year contract with the Turkish club. Salah ended his nine-year Liverpool spell with 257 goals in 442 appearances.
